The Gunners will be frustrated that it wasn’t more with Kepa Arrizabalaga having conceded two poor goals against Chelsea in the first leg.

Now, ahead of the second leg in North London, Rosenior and his father have both been discussing the tie and have put the pressure on Arsenal.

Liam Rosenior says Arsenal are the favourites ahead of Chelsea

Liam Rosenior believes that Arsenal will be expecting to see off Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening.

The North London club have a one-goal lead and welcome the Blues to the Emirates, which gives them a big advantage.

Goals from Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Ben White in West London mean that Arsenal are now firm favourites.

“The reality is Arsenal are favourites for the tie, they’re a goal up, and they’re at home, so they’ll expect to go through,” Rosenior told the media.

“We need to take it as far as we can and as deep as we can, and the second half, hopefully, will be massive in terms of turning the tie around.”

Meanwhile, his father, Leroy Rosenior, has also suggested that Arsenal are expected to reach the final on Tuesday.

He told Premier League Productions’ Fanzone: “Yeah, it’s going to be exciting. I think Arsenal are definitely the favourites, but you never know in the semi-finals. It’s one to look forward to.”

Chelsea will hope the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Joao Pedro can turn up against Arsenal in a bid to turn the tie around.

Cole Palmer will have a point to prove vs Arsenal

One player who has struggled when he has faced Arsenal is Cole Palmer, who has missed both fixtures this season.

The winger has played against the Gunners just twice for the Blues, managing just one goal in these matches.

Right now, the 23-year-old is having a poor season, having missed games through injury, but he is another player Arsenal must keep an eye on.
