Arsenal are heavy favourites heading into Wednesday evening’s Premier League encounter with Manchester United. 

The Gunners are going into this game in fine form, having dispatched West Ham United last time out in the Premier League.

Many are expecting the North London club to be victorious at the Emirates Stadium.

However, the Red Devils will pose a threat of their own, and showed with their 4-0 win over Everton at the weekend that they are capable of being clinical in the final third.

Luis Garcia backs Manchester United to snatch draw vs Arsenal

Luis Garcia even believes that Ruben Amorim’s side are being underestimated and can pull off a result at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Liverpool winger’s fellow ESPN pundits Nedum Onuoha, , Shaka Hislop, Steve Nicol, Ale Moreno, Zat Knight, Mario Melchiot, and Kay Murray all backed Arsenal to win.

Onuoha believes Manchester United will face their toughest test of the season against Arsenal. Garcia was the only pundit to break the mould, as he forecast a 2-2 draw.

The Spaniard said: “I think my love, not for Man United, but yes for Ruben Amorim, I think that he’s a fantastic manager, even though he’s only been there a short time he’s going to make a quick impact on the team… I think they are going to put in a big challenge [against Arsenal].

“I know they are going to have a couple of players missing in the middle of the park, but I think they are going to put in a good performance and that’s why I didn’t give any more. Just a draw, I think, will be a good result for them to continue building their momentum.”

Pundits predict Arsenal vs Manchester United

Paul Merson has backed Arsenal to thrash Manchester United, claiming that the Gunners have enough to “destroy” their opponents. 

Chris Sutton has also predicted a comfortable Arsenal win. However, Mikel Arteta cannot allow his players to become complacent.

This game is far too important to Arsenal for them to slip up. If they fail to collect all three points then they will give Liverpool the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The Reds already have a nine point lead ahead of the Gunners, and if that gap is allowed to grow any wider then that will almost certainly spell the end of Arsenal’s ambitions of being crowned champions this season.
