Liverpool’s Alisson Becker says Arsenal have three players who are simply ‘amazing’

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has claimed that Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are ‘amazing strikers’.

The Gunners had to settle for a draw against Jurgen Klopp‘s side on Saturday despite going in front very early in the game. Liverpool defended very well, and Alisson has lauded Ibrahima Konate for dealing with the likes of Saka, Jesus and Martinelli.

When Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are in form, Arsenal have one of the most dangerous attacks in the Premier League.

Our three forwards have been incredible since the start of last season. It’s a joy to watch them play when they’re in full flow, and they’re extremely difficult to stop as well.

There was a lot of space for Jesus, Saka and Martinelli to exploit when Arsenal took on Liverpool on Saturday, but the Reds’ defenders, especially Ibrahima Konate, had a solid game.

Alisson heaped praise on the Frenchman for dealing with who he thinks are three absolutely amazing players – Saka, Jesus and Martinelli.

He told LFCTV GO: “Ibou, everybody knows how strong he is, and he is improving season after season He’s still young, as he is a big and strong man I think nobody realises that, but he is still young and he is improving, being a more mature player alongside Virgil.

“They did an amazing game, but not only them. They did an amazing game because everybody helped them to do their job.

“But in the one-v-one situations against [Gabriel] Martinelli, against [Bukayo] Saka, against Gabriel Jesus, they are amazing strikers, and the way they defended was amazing.”

Arsenal’s three forwards need to start firing

Alisson’s praise is huge, and Jesus, Saka and Martinelli completely deserve it. However, they need to do more for Arsenal this season.

Saka is our top-scorer in the Premier League this term with five goals, while Jesus has netted three so far. Martinelli, who looked a shadow of himself at Anfield, is stuck on just two.

That really is a concern as we all know that the above three are capable of finding the net much more often than they have done so far this season.

If Arsenal are to win the Premier League title, we need Saka, Jesus and Martinelli to step up and start firing in front of goal in the coming weeks and months.
