Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have always shared a fierce rivalry, but there’s a huge gap between the two sides now.
The Gunners have historically been the more successful side in North London. Spurs can never compete with them on that front, but they did have a few years where they were ahead.
However, as a wise man once said, form is temporary, class is permanent, and that has shown in recent years. Arsenal finished 23 points above Tottenham last season and 24 in the campaign before.
We expect something similar again this term, and it looks like Lukas Podolski agrees with us.

Lukas Podolski’s two-word reply when asked if Tottenham will finish above Arsenal
Podolski was a fan favourite at Arsenal.
The German spent three years on the Gunners’ books and played 82 games for them. He scored 31 goals, provided 15 assists and was a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium.
Podolski played three times against Tottenham during his spell at Arsenal and won two of those games. He even scored and assisted on his North London Derby debut.
One of the World Cup winner’s most memorable moments at Arsenal was when he climbed into the away end at White Hart Lane and celebrated a win with the fans.
It is a truly iconic picture, one that showed he knew what it was to be an Arsenal man.
While speaking about the current Premier League campaign, Podolski was asked if he thinks Tottenham will finish above Arsenal this season.
Gooners will love his response. “No chance,” he said in an interview with talkSPORT.
How Podolski became a multi-millionaire after leaving Arsenal
It has been nearly a decade since Podolski left Arsenal, and he has been really successful since.
The German is still playing football. He dons the colours of Polish side Gornik Zabrze these days, but he has been making the news for another reason.
The Sun reported back in February that Podolski has started a chain of kebab shops called Mangal Doner, and that has catapulted his wealth to a whole new level.
It was reported that his net worth has shot up to a staggering £177.5 million.
Podolski also owns a dessert brand called Ice Cream United, which he founded back in 2017. The report adds that he has ‘launched a music festival, sports centre and a football tournament featuring influencers, former players and fans’.
