Former Premier League star Gary Neville has had his say on some of the comments Josh Kronke made in the Arsenal fans’ forum last week.
The Arsenal director, and son of our owner Stan Kroenke, addressed the fans about the club’s decision to sign up for the European Super League.
Kroenke Jr claimed that the local fans still love our cold nights at Stoke, but the global fans would rather watch a game against Barcelona. That seems to have angered Martin Tyler and Neville, with the latter labelling them as an ‘absolute disgrace’.
Tyler said on Sky Sports: “The Kroenkes referenced a midweek trip to Stoke, and English fans need that. And global fans want Barcelona every other week. That they were representing those – it’s patronising beyond belief.
Neville responded by saying: “Martin, honestly, you are making me more angry, the more that you speak. Honestly, they (the Kroenkes) are an absolute disgrace.
“Those three clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United) are standard-bearers in English football in terms of success and joy. The hundreds of millions of fans around the world, who have watched those three clubs and to be represented in such a fashion, honestly!”

Josh Kroenke’s comments certainly weren’t received well. Some fans felt it was arrogance, while others called them patronising. However, we feel it’s just the lack of knowledge about English football.
The Kroenkes know absolutely nothing about the game. As Thierry Henry told The Telegraph earlier this week, they are not running the football club, they are running a business, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
The rumours about Daniel Ek coming in with a bid to buy Arsenal has excited the fans. We have no idea if he will be the owner the fans deserve, but surely he can’t be as bad as the Kroenkes, or can he?
