Arsenal have had an unprecedented summer of transfer spending.

Indeed, the Gunners have added so much quality to the squad at quite the expense, and, scarily, they may not be finished yet.

Piero Hincapie could also arrive at Arsenal, and that deal may take Arsenal’s spending to over £300m this summer.

Arsenal’s most recent signing was Eberechi Eze.

The attacker is yet to make his Arsenal debut, but he could start for the Gunners on Sunday against Liverpool.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Mark Lawrenson has been previewing that game, and he’s shared his verdict on Arsenal signing Eze.

Mark Lawrenson hails Eberechi Eze

Lawrenson spoke about Arsenal’s start to the season.

The pundit noted that the Gunners have done well so far, but he expressed concerns about the current injury situation after Bukayo Saka went down injured alongside Martin Odegaard.

However, Lawrenson reserved some special praise for Eze, claiming that he is a super player.

“Arsenal have started well, they have a couple missing now don’t they? I think they’re out for a few weeks, but the signing of the boy Eze from Palace, I think he’s like a super, super player,” Lawrenson said.

Eberechi Eze’s record vs Liverpool

Eberechi Eze is potentially set for his Arsenal debut this weekend against Liverpool, and if he does kick off his Gunners career against the Reds, he’ll be fighting an uphill battle.

Indeed, it doesn’t get much tougher than facing the reigning Premier League champions, and Eze doesn’t have a great record against Liverpool over the years.

One win and one goal in seven games against the Reds just goes to show how much Eze has struggled against Liverpool in the past.

However, in a new team with new teammates and more motivation than ever, Eze could well be the difference-maker against Liverpool at the weekend.

As Lawrenson says, Eze is a super player and he could be the signing of the summer.
