Whilst Raya will rightly take all the plaudits for last night’s win, the penalty shootout heroics would not have been possible had Trossard found his way onto the scoresheet.

With how Porto set themselves up, it was always going to take a moment of magic to break the Portuguese giant’s resolve, yet that’s exactly what Trossard did, with some help from Odegaard.

Indeed, Arsenal have now lifted their UEFA Champions League curse after nearly 15 years of hurt, and Trossard and company will now be laser-focused on the quarter-finals for this year’s competition.
