Arsenal star Declan Rice has been the talk of the town since his heroics against Real Madrid.

The Gunners took on the reigning European champions at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, and they absolutely battered them.

Real Madrid held on in the first half, but a stunning brace from Rice followed by a well-taken goal from Mikel Merino sealed an emphatic 3-0 win for the hosts.

Many Arsenal fans, including us, have watched Rice’s two free-kicks over 100 times already, and we spotted something during the celebrations.

What William Saliba and Martin Odegaard did after Declan Rice’s second Arsenal goal vs Real Madrid

Rice had played 338 games at club level before starting for Arsenal against Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

The Englishman had made a name for himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe during those games, but there is one thing he never did – score from a direct free kick.

Against the Galacticos, Rice stepped up and scored a brilliant free-kick past Thibaut Courtois in the 58th minute to give Arsenal the lead.

That was a big surprise as nobody expected Rice to do that.

Then, just 12 minutes later, Rice did it again, this time from even further out. It was truly unbelievable – not just for the fans but for some of his teammates as well.

When Rice ran away to celebrate, all of his teammates followed him, including William Saliba and Martin Odegaard.

The two players, almost identically, can be seen putting their hands on their heads in disbelief – they clearly did not expect to see him score two free-kicks in the same game.

Declan Rice may have copied Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration

Rice opened his free-kick account during Arsenal’s win over Real Madrid.

The England international will remember those two goals for a long, long time, and some fans will not forget his celebration either.

Many on social media were quick to point out how Rice may have copied Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after one of his free-kicks on Tuesday night.

Rice’s inspiration, however, is not Ronaldo – it’s another former Real Madrid player in David Beckham.

The Arsenal midfielder previously revealed that he would wear Beckham’s shirt all the time during holidays as a kid and even called it his ‘favourite kit of all time’.

We’re sure both Beckham and Ronaldo would’ve been impressed with Rice’s two free-kicks, even though it was against their old club, Real Madrid, in the Champions League.
