When could Martin Zubimendi make his debut for Arsenal? That’s the question on everyone’s lips after the Gunners officially confirm the signing of the former Real Sociedad midfielder.
Arsenal confirmed Zubimendi at midday on Sunday, with the Spaniard putting pen to paper for the Gunners on a five-year deal.
The 26-year-old became Mikel Arteta’s second signing of the summer after Kepa Arrizabalaga, and will surely link up with the Gunners as they embark on their pre-season tour for the 25/26 campaign.

That said, when will the Spaniard feature for the first time in the new Arsenal jersey?

AC Milan tried to sign Martin Zubimendi in the past
Zubimendi playing against Milan will surely hurt the European giants, given the fact that they were once interested in acquiring his signature.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport in March 2024, Zubimendi was on the radar of AC Milan, alongside Juventus. His release clause remained the same, but neither side appeared to have the funds to exercise the deal.
Instead, I Rossoneri opted for the signature of Youssouf Fofana, who was signed from Monaco for a bargain fee of around £17m.
Zubimendi and Arsenal will be hoping to show Milan what they’re missing when they clash in Southeast Asia in less than a month.
