Arsenal have just picked up a statement victory over Liverpool at the Emirates and here are our player ratings.
Mikel Arteta’s men took the lead through Gabriel Martinelli after just 58 seconds. Liverpool pulled one back through Darwin Nunez, but a Bukayo Saka brace either side of Roberto Firmino’s goal helped us pick up a huge win and return to the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal player ratings vs Liverpool
Aaron Ramsdale: 8/10
He couldn’t do much with either Liverpool goal but was solid as always with the ball at his feet. He went down with what looked like a groin problem in the first half, which was a concern, but thankfully, he looked fine after the break.
Ben White: 8/10
Another really solid display from the Englishman. He wasn’t just good defensively, but his performance at the other end of the pitch was really impressive as well. Hey Gareth Southgate, are you watching?
William Saliba: 8.5/10
We’re running out of superlatives to describe this young man. He is already up there with the best central defenders in the Premier League and Europe, and if he continues to develop in the same way, he will become the best in the world.

Gabriel Magalhaes: 8/10
The Brazilian’s decision-making wasn’t great on a couple of occasions and he probably should’ve done better for Liverpool’s opening goal. However, he improved as the game went on and fully redeemed himself with a delightful dummy for Saka’s strike just before the break.
Takehiro Tomiyasu: 9/10
Mikel Arteta deserves immense praise for his decision to play Tomiyasu at left-back ahead of Tierney. The Japan international completely shut down Mo Salah’s threat and forced Jurgen Klopp to withdraw his superstar in the second half. Fantastic display!
Thomas Partey: 8/10
When Partey plays, Arsenal are a very difficult side to beat. He is simply world-class in what he does, and if he stays fit and continues to perform at this level, we could achieve something really special this season.
Granit Xhaka: 8/10
Xhaka’s a changed man and it was another solid performance in the middle of the park today. His contribution in the final third has made us a really dangerous team, and Arteta, again, deserves immense credit.

Martin Odegaard: 8/10
Another good performance from our skipper, but he will be disappointed to have not scored. He could’ve put the game to bed before Liverpool’s second goal, but he shot straight at Alisson. However, his pressing and leadership were fantastic yet again.
Bukayo Saka: 10/10
This boy is a star. Two goals today including a pressure penalty, and he made it look easy. Saka was a constant threat down the left flank and after what many people felt was a slow start to the season, he’s really stepping up.
Gabriel Jesus: 9/10
Didn’t get a goal today, but Jesus was a constant threat. He was a nuisance to Liverpool defenders, and the lift he has given all the players around him since he joined the club is one of the biggest reasons why we are on top of the Premier League table.
Gabriel Martinelli: 10/10
Clear Man of the Match. Martinelli was absolutely incredible this evening. He scored in the very first minute of the game and then set Saka up for his first. He was unplayable at times and was our best player today without a shadow of a doubt. Generational talent!
