Michael Owen believes that Arsenal’s last five Premier League matches are more favourable than Manchester City’s.

The Gunners have already beaten each of their final five opponents this season and will be looking to do the same again.

💭 How many points will Arsenal and Man City take from the next five matches?

Manchester City travel away to Burnley on Wednesday evening with the chance to move to the top of the Premier League table, meaning the emphasis will be back on Arsenal to catch them.

But Owen thinks Mikel Arteta’s team should be confident about taking 15 points from the five matches, and it will be about how well they can handle the pressure.

Michael Owen thinks Arsenal’s fixtures are favourable

Michael Owen thinks that Arsenal’s remaining five Premier League fixtures are pretty favourable, with Newcastle United the best remaining team.

Already this season, the Gunners have beaten Newcastle 2-1, Fulham 1-0, West Ham 2-0, Burnley 2-0 and Crystal Palace 1-0.

But now, with the Premier League title on the line, it will be whether the North London club can deal with the pressure.

Owen told Premier League Productions: “That’s exactly it. There’s a lot of pressure on at the moment. Individually, you’d say they’re favourable teams to be playing.

“Probably the best team being Newcastle at the moment, but they’re in tatters. Their performances aren’t great at the moment.

“So, Arsenal have got some decent fixtures, and as you say, recent history against those teams is looking favourable.”

It’s also worth noting that Arteta’s side will not be required to leave London in the final few weeks of the season, which could be key.

Meanwhile, Manchester City still have some awkward games left to play, including away at Bournemouth and at home to Brentford.

On paper, City should steamroll both teams; however, they are fighting for Europe and will not roll over easily.
