Arsenal won again this weekend while Man City dropped points and Michael Owen believes the title race might well be over with.
City can close the gap to three points by winning every game – including one against Arsenal and their game in hand – but they’re also relying on the Gunners dropping points.
Indeed, according to Michael Owen, this is now Arsenal’s title to lose.

Michael Owen says Man City lack the consistency to reel Arsenal in
This weekend felt like a big turning point in the title race. Arsenal’s late winner and Max Dowman’s emergence, coupled with City’s draw, means the gap is now nine points.
And for Owen, that gap is going to be too big for City to make up.
“Virtually done and dusted, let’s assume, because it has to happen, Manchester City beat Arsenal, it has to happen. If they win their game in hand as well, they’re only three points [behind], now can Arsenal drop points from that fixture list? Yes they can, they can, so it’s not absolutely over.
“But, will Manchester City win every game from their list? I think the answer is no, I just don’t think they’re good enough to win all of those on the spin,” Owen told Premier League productions.
“The other reason, they do play each other, I don’t see Arsenal losing to Man City, they’re very, very stubborn, strong team, there’s a bit of light, but it’s not going to happen, it’s Arsenal’s now.”

With the Gunners facing City in the EFL Cup final as well, that game could well be seen as pivotal in terms of the mental side of things in the title race.
Both teams remain in the Champions League as well, albeit City face a mammoth task to overturn a first-leg deficit against Real Madrid.
Ultimately, Owen is right in his comments here. Arsenal are just not going to drop the points City need to and also, the Gunners are more than capable of beating City as well.
Right now, this looks like Arsenal’s league title.
