Newcastle United’s Joe Willock is now said to hold a higher value than current Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey.

That’s according to the CIES Football Observatory who now consider 24-year-old Joe Willock to be worth £34m.

On the other hand, the transfer value tool values 30-year-old Thomas Partey at £26m.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

And some Arsenal fans may have feared that the £22m recouped for Joe Willock may one day go on to look like a small fee.

Joe Willock’s decision to leave Arsenal for Newcastle United has always looked like a good one.

Willock has had a ton of faith placed in him by Eddie Howe during an era of huge progress for the club, and can even boast some wins over Arsenal and Partey.

Willock played a vital role in securing his side Champions League football last season.

And although currently injured, Willock will surely be hoping that he can make a big impression on Europe’s main stage.

Of course, Joe Willock might be a victim of his own success in a way, upon their fourth place finish Newcastle have now signed Sandro Tonali.

Willock now thought to be worth more than Arsenal’s Partey

Talking about players being replaced, Thomas Partey may now be fearing for his spot in Arsenal’s eleven.

Arsenal finally have a player in Declan Rice that can adequately cover Partey when injured, and he just so happens to be world-class.

Rice put on a real display against Manchester United and allayed a lot of fears that usually come with a Partey injury.

And although now departed, Joe Willock might now be a nice profile to sit alongside Rice or Partey in Arsenal’s midfield.

Kai Havertz is yet to nail down the left side of Arsenal’s midfield three and now looks under increased pressure from Fabio Vieira.
