Liam Rosenior hails Mikel Arteta ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal

Liam Rosenior hopes to be given the same sort of time at Chelsea as Mikel Arteta has been afforded at Arsenal.

Arteta is now into his sixth full season in charge of the Gunners, and only now does his team look like a serious contender in all competitions.

The new Chelsea boss is so impressed with how well organised Arteta’s Arsenal team has become, and he is relishing the chance to go head-to-head.

Ahead of the clash, Rosenior told Hayters TV: “I think Mikel is someone who’s done an incredible job. He’s had time to build the way he wants his team to look; they’re very well organised.

🔮 You predict: Who will Arsenal’s first goalscorer be against Chelsea?

Backing Bukayo or a goal for Gyokeres?

“They’re very good in terms of their organisation in every aspect of the game, and he’s done a very, very good job there. As I said, everyone has to start somewhere. I’m really, really looking forward to the game.”

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw with Enzo Marseca’s Chelsea only last month and will face another tough test in West London.

This is Rosenior’s first game at Stamford Bridge, so he will have the crowd right behind him and will be eager to impress.

Liam Rosenior shuts down claims Arsenal are ‘Set-Piece FC’

Rosenior quickly shunted claims that Arsenal have become ‘Set-Piece FC’ and claims the Gunners offer much more than just from these situations.

“I don’t know who’s calling them Set-Piece FC. I’m definitely not. I think they’re a team who are very good without the ball. I think they have a really, really clear idea of the way they want to play with the ball,” he added.

“On top of that, they’re very, very well organised with good deliveries on set-pieces. That’s what you want to be if you want to be successful. That’s the idea for every coach.”
