Mikel Arteta has admitted that he is pleased with how Kai Havertz is now performing for Arsenal after a tough start to life in north London.
The 24-year-old Germany international was a surprise signing from Chelsea in the summer, with Havertz making the move to Arsenal with not the best of reputations.
The attacking midfielder initially struggled at Arsenal with Havertz’s numbers impressing few fans, yet performances in recent months have been impressive as the Gunners continue their march towards the title.

And speaking to the press, Arteta has publically praised Havertz for how the former Chelsea man has turned things around at Arsenal, with the German now considered a key player.
Arteta said when asked about Havertz’s performances in recent weeks: “It tells you about his character and how he’s dealt with all those question marks and the attitude that he showed.
“He’s continued to work hard, and we can see his quality, his intelligence on the pitch and the contributions he’s making. Obviously, I’m very happy with him.”
Arteta later added: “His ability to occupy spaces, the aggression that he has in high places is really good, and he has the physicality to play very different kinds of games, we knew it was going to very positive for us.”

Arsenal’s record in recent weeks speaks for itself, with the Gunners the in-form team in the Premier League and on course to take top spot with a win on Saturday against Brentford.
And the likes of Havertz hitting form at this stage in the season has been key to this push, with the German midfielder finally looking settled and embedded in the Arsenal system.
The 24-year-old looks at home at Arsenal and is looking better with each passing game, and Havertz could again play a massive role in pushing the Gunners to the promised land of Premier League glory.
