Mikel Arteta is undoubtedly one of the best up-and-coming managers in Europe, but the Arsenal boss has been told what must happen to cement his legacy.
The Spanish manager is now in his sixth full season in charge at the Emirates Stadium and is bidding to finally bring the Premier League title back to N5.
The Gunners currently lead Manchester City by four points, with a massive North London derby clash this weekend.
Outside the North London club, the 43-year-old still has many doubters, but he has now been told what he must do to silence them once and for all.

Mikel Arteta must win the Premier League at Arsenal
Tim Sherwood believes that Mikel Arteta must win the Premier League at Arsenal to be considered one of the best managers on the planet.
Currently, the former Spurs boss claims that he is one of the top ‘up-and-coming’ coaches, but to become one of the very best, he needs to win the league.
The North Londoners have come runners-up in the past three seasons, but this term could well be different as they lead the way after 11 matches.
Asked whether Arteta is one of the world’s best, Sherwood told Sky Sports News: “I think he’s on the way to doing that, and if he wins the Premier League, you have to put him up there.
“Certainly, he’s one of the most up-and-coming managers we’ve got, and he will probably be right up the top of the list if he wins the Premier League.”
So far, the Arsenal boss has one FA Cup and two Community Shields to his name as a coach, but that will surely soon change.
Mikel Arteta has the seventh-best points per game ratio in the Premier League
Currently, Arteta has the seventh-best points per game ratio in the Premier League, with several legendary managers ahead of him.
The only other active coach in England’s top flight ahead of him is Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
| Manager | PPG |
| Pep Guardiola | 2.29 |
| Alex Ferguson | 2.17 |
| Jurgen Klopp | 2.11 |
| Roberto Mancini | 2.05 |
| Antonio Conte | 2.03 |
| Jose Mourinho | 2.02 |
| Mikel Arteta | 1.98 |
But Arteta will be hoping he can finally close in on the top five, with Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte just ahead of him.
His record speaks for itself, though and shows that he is already rubbing shoulders with some of the finest coaches the league has ever seen.
