Four Arsenal players have now been included in a Premier League XI made up of the most valuable stars in the division.
The four most valuable Arsenal players have now been revealed.
The Gunners have invested heavily in their playing squad, as Mikel Arteta has been backed in the transfer market in recent windows.
This Arsenal squad includes a number of Hale End academy graduates who have now established themselves as Premier League stars. They are also surrounded by players who were brought to the Emirates Stadium via the transfer market, and have since elevated their status considerably.
For instance, just £27 million was paid to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille in 2020. Alongside William Saliba, Gabriel now forms one half of the best centre-back partnership in the Premier League.
Equally, Arsenal club captain Martin Odegaard has been the most creative player in Europe this season. The Norwegian is now a bona fide superstar, which makes his £30 million price tag, which Arsenal coughed up to prise him away from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, look like an absolute steal.
In the most recent summer transfer window, the Gunners splashed out a club-record fee of £105 million to secure the services of Declan Rice from West Ham United. Even that now looks to be something of a bargain, as Rice has been named the best Arsenal signing since Dennis Bergkamp was brought to north London in 1995.

Arsenal stars named in most valuable Premier League XI
Transfermarkt have now compiled the most valuable Premier League XI. Four Arsenal stars make the cut in this team, which has a total estimated worth of €1.09 billion – equivalent to just over £900 million.
Saliba is included, and credited with a worth of €80 million, which equates to around £68 million. Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias is valued at exactly the same price point, but is four years older than the Frenchman, who at 22-years-old is one of the youngest players in this XI.
Odegaard makes the cut, too. The playmaker has been assigned a value of €95 million (£81 million). Then, Rice and Manchester City ace Rodri round out the midfield trio. Both players have been given an identical evaluation – €110 million (£95 million). Again, the Arsenal man is the younger of the duo.
Finally, academy graduate Bukayo Saka is named on the right flank. His fellow England international, and Manchester City academy product, Phil Foden is included on the opposite flank. Both players are valued at €130 million (£111 million).
Erling Haaland is ranked as the most valuable player in the top flight of English football. The Manchester City striker is credited with a worth of €180 million (£153 million).
