Nicolas Pepe has just predicted who will win the Premier League – Arsenal or Man City

The Premier League title race between Arsenal and Manchester City looks like it is going to go down to the wire this season.

The Gunners are three points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s side, who have a game in hand. A win against Burnley on Wednesday night would see the Sky Blues go level on points with the current leaders.

If both teams win their remaining games, the Premier League title will be decided on goal difference, and the Gunners are currently ahead by one.

That is perhaps why Nicolas Pepe thinks his old side will go all the way.

Nicolas Pepe thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League ahead of Manchester City

Pepe was Arsenal’s record signing when he joined from Lille for £72 million in 2019.

The Ivorian was an extremely talented player, but the pressure of the price tag combined with lack of regular opportunities under Mikel Arteta made his time at the club unsuccessful.

Despite that, Pepe has a lot of love for the Gunners and has always said good things about the club since he was released.

Now, the Villarreal star was asked about the Premier League title race between Arsenal and Manchester City this season, and he thinks the Gunners will win it.

He told Flashscore: “Honestly, I think it will be about details.

“They still have the Champions League to play, so there is that to manage. City have nothing to do, I think they only have the Premier League now, so they will be focused on the Premier League.

“But it will really depend on the details because I think the difference is one goal.

“I think Arsenal will end up champions, but really, it’s a pity losing to City.”

Nicolas Pepe is right, Arsenal have a disadvantage

Arsenal definitely are capable of winning all their remaining games, but it will not be straightforward by any means.

That’s because the Gunners have a gruelling two-legged Champions League semi-final coming up against Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s side will definitely make the Gunners work hard, and the impact of that could be seen in the next Premier League game a few days later.

Manchester City, on the other hand, only have an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton to worry about, which means they will have all the rest they need.

That gives them an advantage, which is worrying for Arsenal.
