Norwegian media believe that Martin Odegaard could be getting back to his best after the Arsenal captain impressed against Senegal.
Norway are into the Round of 32 at the World Cup after defeating Senegal 3-2, with Erling Haaland once again stealing the show.
If Arsenal were to sell Martin Odegaard how much money would you want for him?
The Manchester City striker netted a brace in what was one of the most exciting games of the World Cup so far against the African nation.
Following the 3-2 win in New Jersey, the local press in Norway have been singing the praises of Arsenal’s captain for his impressive performance.
Norwegian media think Martin Odegaard looked back to his best vs Senegal
The Norwegian media have claimed that Martin Odegaard looked back to his best during the 3-2 win over Senegal at the World Cup.
Odegaard looked off the pace against Iraq, but in the second game of the tournament, the 27-year-old really impressed.
The Arsenal midfielder managed one assist, completed 37 passes, 25 carries and had 66 touches in total across the 90 minutes.
The Norwegian press have now been reacting to his display in New Jersey, and it’s fair to say that they were impressed by the Arsenal star.
- NRK rated him 7/10: “Even if the goal doesn’t come, he should be praised for getting into scoring positions. Bad choice on the counterattack before halftime, but he makes up for it when he serves Haaland for 2-1. Insanely good without the ball and sets the standard for Norway’s pressing game.”
- Dagbladet also gave him a 7/10: “Had two big chances in the first half but didn’t take advantage of them. Great preparation for the 2-0 goal by Haaland. He’s back!”
