TalkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil has claimed that Eddie Nketiah is not a good enough goalscorer for Arsenal.

The Englishman has started each of our first two games of the season, and he has been brilliant. He has really impressed us, but Brazil is not at all happy with him. Here’s what he said about the Arsenal striker live on talkSPORT today.

Alan Brazil says Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is not good enough

Eddie Nketiah has been given an opportunity ahead of Leandro Trossard and Folarin Balogun up top for Arsenal following Gabriel Jesus’ injury.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

The Brazilian had to undergo a surgical procedure to rectify a problem with his knee, and many felt that was a massive blow for us ahead of the start of the new season.

Nketiah, however, has stepped up brilliantly. He came on and changed the game in the Community Shield, and he has been fantastic in his two starts in the Premier League as well.

Brazil, however, is not at all convinced with Nketiah as a goalscorer.

When Ally McCoist claimed Nketiah has been doing well in Jesus’ absence, Brazil replied: “He takes five chances to score, it’s not good enough!

“Whereas [Erling] Haaland, half a chance, boom! And that could be the difference again.”

The Insider’s View

Comparing Eddie Nketiah to Erling Haaland is a bit silly, isn’t it?

Yes, they’re both strikers, but Nketiah’s game involves a lot more than just having eight touches of the ball in 90 minutes and scoring three goals.

Of course, if the 24-year-old manages to score as many as Haaland, we would all be thrilled, but what he has been doing for us since the start of the season is exceptional, and he deserves immense praise.

Nketiah may not bury all of his chances, but he is a big threat. Brazil clearly disagrees, but we’re delighted with how he has been performing so far.
