Oleksandr Zinchenko has admitted that he joins in on North London Forever before every Arsenal home game.
The Mikel Arteta era at Arsenal has brought about the club’s first real anthem in The Angel by Louis Dunford, with the song being played at the start of matches since April 2022 and continuing ever since.
The song has since taken on a life of its own and is now played before every home game, with fans, celebrities and players all falling in love with the pre-match anthem at the Emirates Stadium
Oleksandr Zinchenko reveals love for new Arsenal anthem

And speaking to the club’s official website, Zinchenko revealed that the song is something he sings before every Arsenal home game, a tradition that many fans will hope can last for many years.
Zinchenko said when asked about Arsenal’s new anthem and what it means to the fans: “The energy from the fans, I felt it was really special. I realised how big Arsenal fans were as a club.
“Without their support, it would be so, so hard. Especially in the games when sometimes it’s not going well and they just keep pushing you – that’s why we call them our 12th player.
“My family always love the atmosphere too, they are excited and sing North London Forever. Even me, when I’m on the pitch, or on the bench, when this song starts, I cannot avoid it, I’m joining in too!”
Passion from the players has made North London Forever a classic

Whilst it’s not yet as iconic as You’ll Never Walk Alone or Can’t Help Falling in Love, The Angel has a special place already at Arsenal and in the hearts of his players who step out the Emirates.
It might have been a small decision in the grand scheme of things, but Arteta’s move to introduce a new club anthem and one that resonates so much to Arsenal has helped in rebuilding the culture.
And passion from the likes of Zinchenko has helped further this rebuild, with the Ukrainian international a true game-changer for Arsenal and a player who has helped the Gunners push to where they are now.
