One star staying and another leaving?

Arsene Wenger is trying to keep Mesut Ozil at Arsenal by extending his contract.

Arsene Wenger is trying his hardest to keep Arsenal’s top assisting midfielder Mesut Ozil in North London. With both Manchester United and Barcelona making a move for the German, it’s going to cost a lot for Ozil to stay. According to many reliable sources, Arsenal are willing to pay up to £275,000 a week to keep Mesut a Gunner. If this deal follows through, Ozil will be the most paid Arsenal player of all time. The future of Ozil’s ‘right-hand man’ is untold still. The Chilean Alexis Sanchez looks to be out the door in January according to reports from Sky and BBC Sport. Wenger quoted about Sanchez; “Alexis is going nowhere, don’t believe everything you read on reports, social media etc. I’m positive he will stay with us.” So we don’t quite know what is happening with him yet.

Arsene Wenger has his eyes on 29-year-old Steven N’Zonzi.

According to Spanish reports, Steven N’Zonzi has verbally agreed to join Arsenal for a fee for £35.2million. N’Zonzi featured in the Emirates Cup in August this year and scored an absolute stunner against the Gunners. His overall performance in the tournament was solid and caught the eye of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. N’Zonzi stated he wants to leave the Spanish side as soon as possible after he confirmed he had a bust-up with Sevilla manager Eduardo Berizzo at half-time. He said; “The coach pointed a finger at me, I will not repeat what he said, but the words really affected me.”. So with all of this happening Wenger is positive he will be able to convince N’Zonzi to move to the Emirates in the January transfer window.

Laurent Koscielny blanked by teammates in pre-match warmup.

Before Arsenal’s match against West Ham, Laurent Koscielny wanted to motivate the team to get them going. Koscielny gave about a one-minute speech to the rest of the Arsenal squad only for his fellow teammates to completely ignore him. There was about a 20-second pause of silence before Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud supposedly tried to make the situation little less awkward by saying “Yes, Yes, Yes come on boys!” Is this a sign of the Arsenal players not showing passion? not listening to each other? Many Arsenal fans wants Sanchez OUT! Fans have said he is not playing for the club, only for himself. If you’ve watched Arsenal’s recent performances you can clearly see the Chilean is not playing to the standards he is capable of.
