Arsenal have won the Dubai Super Cup following a convincing win over AC Milan this evening, and here are our player ratings.

Goals from skipper Martin Odegaard and Reiss Nelson gave us our second win in as many games in Dubai, and hopefully, this isn’t the only silverware we’ll be lifting this season.

Arsenal player ratings vs AC Milan

Karl Hein: 8/10

The biggest positive of our trip to Dubai has to be Hein’s performances.

The Estonian was fantastic against Lyon in our opening game, and he impressed again this afternoon with a very composed display – even when put under pressure. He may well be our penalty shootout expert now.

Ben White: 8/10

Back in the red and white after whatever happened at the World Cup, White was as good as he has been all season.

He was excellent on the ball, bombed up and down the right flank well and was solid throughout. He did want to barge into Yacine Adli at one point in the first half – we don’t blame him.

Rob Holding: 7/10

A shaky start to the game from Holding.

He made a mistake early on and then got turned by Divock Origi, who almost scored a stunner from outside the box. He calmed down after that and did well in a few set-piece situations to keep Milan at bay.

Gabriel Magalhaes: 8.5/10

Another very solid display by the Brazilian in the heart of the defence.

He was very solid defensively, and his passing and composure on the ball were very, very good too. Not bad from the penalty sport either.

Kieran Tierney: 8/10

A good run of games for Tierney with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu both unavailable, and he’s doing nothing wrong.

He was solid again tonight at both ends of the pitch, and that will give him a ton of confidence ahead of the second half of the season.

Thomas Partey: 9/10

This was the Ghanaian’s first game for us since his return from the World Cup in Qatar, and he was brilliant. Good on the ball, very aware of danger and and positionally outstanding.

Like White, he was taken off at half time – rightly so.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: 7.5/10

Another decent performance from the Belgian. He got most things right this afternoon and Partey’s presence alongside him gave much more security than he has had before this season.

Two good displays in Dubai should boost his confidence ahead of the second half of the campaign.

Reiss Nelson: 8/10:

Not a consistent threat throughout but was still a handful for Milan to deal with, especially in 1v1 situations. The quality and talent is clearly there, he just needs to do it more consistently.

His goal proved to be crucial in the end.

Martin Odegaard: 9/10

Another outstanding display from our skipper.

He ran the show in the first half, worked extremely hard without possession and scored a truly wonderful free-kick to give us the lead. Leading from the front!

Fabio Vieira: 8.5/10

This boy is just getting better and better. He was outstanding against Lyon last week, and although he didn’t score today, he was excellent more often than not.

He got kicked around almost every Milan player on the pitch, but thankfully, he’s fine. We can’t wait to see more of him.

Eddie Nketiah: 6/10

A frustrating night for the Englishman.

Didn’t really get an opportunity in front of goal and was easily dealt with by Milan’s centre-halves. His hold-up play wasn’t great either, which is a concern. Hopefully, it was just an off-day, and he’ll be back to his best when we take on Juventus next.
