Arsenal take on Liverpool in one of their biggest games of the season.
The Gunners have found themselves in an incredible position. They are six points clear at the top of the Premier League table and are now the absolute favourites to win the title.
However, to go all the way, Arsenal will need to continue their momentum, and as poor as Liverpool have been lately, they cannot be underestimated.

Paul Merson predicts Arsenal vs Liverpool result
Arsenal have lost just two games all season, and one of them was to Liverpool.
The Gunners weren’t bad by any means in the reverse fixture at Anfield. They lost William Saliba early on in that game and were also without Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
Mikel Arteta’s side contained the hosts well for large parts of the fixture, but a Dominik Szoboszlai stunner late in the game sealed the win for Arne Slot.
Arsenal will be hoping to get their revenge when the two sides meet at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, and Paul Merson believes his old side will come out on top.
He wrote on Sportskeeda: “It’s weird, but I’d be more shocked if Liverpool won at Arsenal than Wolves or Leeds winning their games away from home this gameweek.
“Arsenal’s B team can cause 99 per cent of the sides in this league a problem. That’s how good they are as a squad.”
Merson’s prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool
After seeing Liverpool’s set-piece record, I’m __% confident Arsenal will beat Arne Slot’s side.

Viktor Gyokeres could be Arsenal’s key player vs Liverpool
Viktor Gyokeres has had a mixed season at Arsenal, but he could really hurt Liverpool.
Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate’s high line is what makes the Reds such a good team in the press, but they have both been really poor this season.
Gyokeres’ presence will either push them back and nullify their press or force them to commit forward, which would then open up space for him to run in behind.

If the Swede gets his positioning and movement right all game, he will cause Liverpool all sorts of problems and could even punish them in transition.
Gyokeres will be key for Arsenal on Thursday. Hopefully, he can get a goal that will really kickstart his season.
