Arsenal take on Manchester United next in the Premier League.
The Gunners will be looking to maintain their seven-point gap at the top of the table, and Mikel Arteta’s side will go into the game against the Red Devils as the favourites.
However, Manchester United’s confidence is higher than it has been all season after their fantastic victory over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.
That has led to some people claiming that United stand a chance against Arsenal on Sunday. Paul Merson cannot believe it.

Paul Merson is shocked after hearing people say Manchester United could beat Arsenal
Manchester United have a terrible recent record against Arsenal.
The Red Devils haven’t won a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium since April 2018, which is nearly eight years ago.
The last time Manchester United won a league game against Arsenal was in 2022 – that came at Old Trafford when Erik ten Hag was at the helm.
That is why Merson cannot believe that some people are tipping Michael Carrick’s side to get a result against the Gunners on Sunday.

The pundit wrote on Sportskeeda: “It absolutely shocks me to death when people say this is now a massively different game after Manchester United beat City last weekend.
“In all honesty, I’d be surprised if Arsenal don’t win this.
“Arsenal won 3-1 away from home to one of the best teams in Italy in midweek. They went to Chelsea and scored three in the EFL Cup not long ago. So I don’t buy the claim that facing Manchester United at home is ‘difficult’ for Arsenal.”
Merson followed the above by predicting a 3-0 win for the Gunners.

Arsenal receive double injury boost ahead of Manchester United clash
Arsenal are in fantastic form and should be able to get the job done against Manchester United regardless of their injury status.
However, Arteta will be a very happy man because two of his injured players are back in full training.
Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie were both spotted with the first team at the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Friday, and both players could feature against United.
That is a massive boost as Arsenal have had to rely on Jurrien Timber at left-back in recent weeks, which hasn’t really been ideal.
It remains to be seen if Arteta will start either Calafiori or Hincapie on Sunday.
