Eberechi Eze took the North London derby by storm over the weekend, and Paul Scholes has now backed his value to skyrocket.

Eze netted a stunning hat-trick against Tottenham to boost the Gunners’ chances of winning the Premier League this season.

Eberechi Eze’s North London Derby hat-trick

Mikel Arteta’s team now find themselves six points clear at the top of the table and with one of the best squads in Europe.

Now, Paul Scholes has told the 27-year-old what he must do following his North London derby hat-trick to become a £100 million player.

Paul Scholes on Eberechi Eze becoming a £100m player

Scholes has told Eberechi Eze that if he can become consistent with scoring goals, he will soon be a £100m player at Arsenal.

Going into the North London derby, Eze had been accused of playing with the handbrake on at Arsenal, but now, he’s just exploded into life.

The winger has gone from two goals to five following his treble on the weekend, and now the former Manchester United man has urged him to continue his form in front of goal.

Who starts in the number 10 role for Arsenal when both fit?

Scholes told The Good, The Bad & The Football: “It was probably the one thing that’s been missing from his game. If you think about the goals, you know, we talk about great midfield players, number 10s, is he a number 10?

“He may probably be a number 10 into more of a forward player. But when he’s at a club like Arsenal, he has to start winning games for them.

“Like we saw Frank Lampard do it for years for Chelsea. Those goals, they win your games, they win your big points. And yesterday was what has he scored four in 10 games or something for Arsenal?

“That’s the only thing he needs to add. If he can do that more consistently, he’s a 100 million pound player.”

Eberechi Eze’s best scoring season of his career

Last season, the new Arsenal signing produced the best scoring campaign of his career to date, as he netted 14 times for Crystal Palace.

How many goals will Eberechi Eze score for Arsenal this season?

He netted key goals, helping the Eagles to win the FA Cup in the semi-final and then the final against Manchester City.

If he can surpass that this term at the Emirates Stadium, he will certainly have justified the £68 million which the Gunners paid for him over the summer.
