Paul Scholes believes people are forgetting how tricky it will be for Arsenal to go away to Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season.

Crystal Palace and Burnley are the two teams standing between the Gunners and a first Premier League title in 22 years.

Mikel Arteta’s team travel away to Selhurst Park on the final day of the season, with both clubs preparing for European finals.

The consensus is that Arsenal have now won the Premier League title after beating West Ham; however, Scholes is not quite convinced that the race is over.

Paul Scholes thinks Crystal Palace away will be tough for Arsenal

Paul Scholes believes that Arsenal fans are getting carried away about the Premier League and has warned them about going away to Crystal Palace.

Palace have lost just five of their 18 Premier League games at Selhurst Park this season, whilst winning four and drawing nine.

The Gunners are now firmly favourites to win the Premier League, but winning away in South London is not a foregone conclusion.

Speaking about the Premier League title race, Scholes told The Good, The Bad & The Football: “I think, look, in a normal year, going to Crystal Palace is hard, it’s a hard game.

For Oliver Glasner, it will be his final game at Selhurst Park, and the Austrian coach will be looking to go out with a bang in South London.

“I think a lot of people have dismissed that now. Look, I don’t think Glasner, it would be his last game as well. He’s not gonna wanna roll over and have his belly tickled, is he?”

Palace are no strangers to ending teams’ title bids and will be looking to replicate the 3-3 draw which saw them cost Liverpool the Premier League back in 2014.

Meanwhile, both clubs will also have their eye on their European finals, with Palace taking on Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League and Arsenal facing PSG.

The Eagles are in European action just three days after the final game of the season, whereas the Gunners have six days to prepare for the Champions League final.
