Arsenal take on Newcastle United in their sixth Premier League game of the season.

The Gunners have had a decent start to the new campaign. They are second in the league table, five points behind Liverpool, who have won every game so far.

After dropping points against Manchester City despite dominating them, Mikel Arteta will want to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

A trip to Newcastle United is coming up, and it will not be an easy game.

Peter Crouch predicts the result of Newcastle United vs Arsenal

On their day, Arsenal are capable of beating any team in the world.

The Gunners have top-class players in every area of their pitch, and their squad depth has never been better under Arteta.

However, a game against Newcastle United at St James’ Park is extremely difficult – Arsenal have learned that the hard way in recent seasons.

Arteta’s men have lost each of their last three games away to the Toon in all competitions, so a win on Sunday would be very sweet.

However, Peter Crouch thinks Arsenal will drop points again.

After initially going for a 2-2 draw, Crouch changed his mind and said on his podcast: “I’m going to change that. I’m going to go 1-1. I’m going with my head there.

“Going with my head there. If it’s 2-1 now, I’ll be fuming, but I’m going 1-1.”

Arsenal have one less thing to worry about against Newcastle United

Arsenal faced Newcastle United four times in the 2024/25 season and lost three of those games.

The Magpies have been a tough opponent for Arteta since Eddie Howe took charge, but the Toon had one big advantage last term.

Alexander Isak played three of those four games against Arsenal and scored twice. He was instrumental in the other game as well and caused William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes all sorts of problems.

Arteta will not have to worry about Isak now, as he doesn’t play for Newcastle anymore.

His replacement, Nick Woltemade, is a very good player, but we’re sure Saliba and Gabriel would rather face the German than Isak on Sunday.
