Jack Wilshere’s Arsenal U18s pulled off a remarkable 4-2 comeback victory over Watford in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup last night, and we’re sure Mikel Arteta will be proud.
A brace from Amario Cozier-Duberry and goals from Osman Kamara and Michal Rosiak helped the Gunners beat Watford and book a place in the quarter-final of the competition.
Wilshere deserves huge credit for the win last night.

Jack Wilshere pulls leaf out of Arteta’s book to inspire incredible Arsenal U18s comeback
The 4-2 scoreline does look impressive on its own for the Arsenal U18s, but what makes it even more fantastic is the fact that the young Gunners were 2-0 down after just 13 minutes.
Watford’s Michael Adu-Poku opened the scoring in the first two minutes of the game, before Tobi Adeyemo doubled their lead just 11 minutes later.
It really did look like one of those games for Arsenal, but Jack Wilshere decided to take a leaf out of Mikel Arteta‘s book to help inspire an incredible comeback.
At around the 32nd-minute mark, when there was a stoppage, Wilshere called many of his players over to the touchline – just like Arteta does when there’s a break of play mid-game.
The Arsenal U18s boss gave his side instructions to hold on after what was a disastrous start, and that played a part in helping them keep the score as it is until half-time.
We don’t know what Wilshere said at the break, but it worked like a charm. Cozier Duberry pulled one back from the spot in the 56th minute, and three more goals in the space of five minutes after the hour-mark sealed the game.
Arsenal fans have been raving about Wilshere and his boys since the fantastic victory last night.
