Everybody seems to be having a go at Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, and Piers Morgan, as he always does, has jumped on the bandwagon.
The German has had a very difficult start to life as a Gunner. He is doing well off the ball, but nothing’s happening for him in possession, and that has resulted in a ton of criticism coming his way.
Here’s what Morgan had to say about Havertz on X.

Piers Morgan makes fun of Arsenal star Kai Havertz
Arsenal signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65 million in the summer.
Many eyebrows were raised when Mikel Arteta went in with a bid to sign the German ahead of clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, but the Arsenal boss was adamant that he wanted him.
Edu sealed the deal in the end, and Havertz came in with many doubting him.
After seven games, zero goals and zero assists, the 007 jokes have been flying all over social media, and Piers Morgan has decided to hop onto that now.
After seeing ESPN FC post the 007 joke on their Twitter handle, Morgan quote-tweeted that and wrote: “Least lethal 007 ever.”
It’s understandable why rival fans would mock Havertz, but to see a so-called Arsenal fan make fun of one of our own players is just a big shame.
TBR View:
Kai Havertz’s performances have not been great at all for Arsenal, but to judge him on his goals and assists is just not fair.
The 24-year-old German has taken over Granit Xhaka’s role at the Emirates. If the Swiss international had zero goals and assists after seven games, nobody would’ve said a word, but just because it’s Havertz, everyone is piling on.
Havertz has to do better – there is no denying that – but does he really deserve to be mocked and abused by our own fans? Absolutely not!
Stick with him, support him and judge him at the end of the season.
