Crystal Palace remain keen to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
Eddie Nketiah is one player that Arsenal might consider moving on in the current January transfer window in order to fund a move for a new forward.
Crystal Palace have already made an approach for the Hale End academy graduate, but were rebuffed on that occasion. It seems likely that the Eagles will come back in for the once-capped England man before too long, though.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, reporting on X, “Mikel Arteta is planning to hold on to Eddie Nketiah. Crystal Palace interest is genuine. They are prepared to pay close to £30m. #AFC valuation is a bit higher, but these figures are still irrelevant unless Arsenal change their position.”
Clearly, as things stand, there is no plan for Nketiah to leave the Emirates Stadium this winter. That being said, Crystal Palace’s interest has not gone away.
An offer beyond the £30 million that the south London outfit currently want to pay for Nketiah could lead to Arsenal altering their stance on the player’s future.

Should Arsenal sell Eddie Nketiah?
Mikel Arteta would be unwise to dismiss the prospect of letting Nketiah go entirely. Whilst the 24-year-old has played plenty of football for the club this season, he has only impressed in flashes.
So far this season, in 19 top flight outings, he has contributed 5 goals. 3 of those strikes came in one match, though, as Nketiah clinched his maiden Premier League hat-trick against newly-promoted strugglers Sheffield United.
Nketiah has done little to show that he has what it takes to fire Arsenal to a Premier League title triumph, and with Gabriel Jesus struggling to score consistently, the Gunners need someone to step up and provide a prolific presence at the top of the pitch.
Selhurst Park would arguably be the ideal destination for Nketiah, too. He would stand a great chance of establishing himself as a nailed-on starter there, and could shine for a club not looking to compete at the very top end of the Premier League table. The move would also allow him to stay in London.
In any case, Crystal Palace will have to improve their offer if they are to stand any chance of prying the striker away from the Emirates Stadium. One thing that Arsenal cannot consider doing is reducing their own asking price. The club’s record of selling players for top fees is not the most impressive, and that needs to change. The Gunners must insist that their valuation is met before any player’s departure is sanctioned.
