Former Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has been compared to Ronaldinho following his performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Magpies absolutely battered Spurs. They went 5-0 up after just 21 minutes and finished the game 6-1. Tottenham were truly humiliated and we have to say, it was a joy to watch.
Willock, who is Arsenal through and through, would’ve loved that as well.
Former Arsenal star Joe Willock compared to Ronaldinho by Bruno Guimaraes
Joe Willock joined Arsenal as a four-year-old. He grew up a Gooner like all of us and fulfilled his dream of wearing the famous red and white at the highest level.
After struggling for game time in the first half of the 2020/21 campaign, Willock was sent out on loan to Newcastle United in January. He became a star there and was the biggest reason why they stayed up that season.

The Toon signed him permanently in the summer for £25 million (Sky Sports), and he has been a fine player since.
One of his best performances came last Sunday, against Tottenham. His assist to Alex Isak would’ve made Kevin De Bruyne, Mesut Ozil and Martin Odegaard proud. Bruno Guimaraes went as far as comparing him to Brazil icon Ronaldinho.
We really could’ve done with a player like Joe Willock in our last game against Southampton, couldn’t we?
The Englishman is a really talented player, we’ve all known that. His ability to drive with the ball at his feet is excellent and he has an incredible eye for a goal too.
Willock is doing a spectacular job at Newcastle, and we couldn’t be happier for him. He’s a lovely kid and deserves everything he’s achieving at the moment.
Arsenal fans wish him the best, but we all just hope he scores three own goals when we take on Newcastle next month. Come on, Joe, we know you want us to win the league too.
