Wenger defence

Arsenal players are speaking up in defence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Alex Iwobi has said that Arsenal fans need to show more respect for Wenger and insisted he is a great man who Iwobi will always back.
Another player backing Wenger is central defender Laurent Koscielny. Koscielny has said that the players must take responsibility for their poor form. He added that the team need to step up and do more on the pitch.
It seems with all the players coming out in defence of the Arsenal manager that an announcement on Wenger staying is surely now imminent. The odds on Wenger remaining manager next season are certainly getting shorter.

Xhaka defies Wenger

Well not quite, but after Wenger spoke about Granit Xhaka controlling his game and not to punish the team with his lack of control and tackling, the Swiss midfielder said “This is my game. If I am taken away from it, I am no longer the same”.
Xhaka did add he is convinced Arsene Wenger will sign a new contract with the club and added he is an outstanding coach.

Head of international recruitment

Arsenal’s head of international recruitment Francis Cagigao is being headhunted by several top sides in Spain, Germany, South America and a leading Premier League team.
Cagigao brought in Cesc Fabregas as well as recommended Santo Cazorla, Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez to boss Arsene Wenger. Cagigao is a key member of staff and has a contract that runs until 2020.
Cagigao would be a huge loss to Wenger and the club should he decide to leave.

Zola knows

Gianfranco Zola knows a player or two, but he has been impressed with Arsenal loan star Krystian Bielik of late. Birmingham manager Zola has likened Bielik to Hector Bellerin who he managed when the full back joined Watford on loan. Zola added “You can see straight away when a player has got something special”.

Bola’s Arsenal dream

Arsenal youngster Marc Bola cannot believe he is an Arsenal player, training with some of the best players in the world. Bola is still to make his Arsenal debut, however is currently on loan at Notts County and has made the left back position his own. The 19-year-old has impressed at Notts County so far this season.

Iwobi on Sanchez

Alex Iwobi has spoken about Alexis Sanchez, insisting there is no rift at the club and the team love to have a player like Sanchez in the team who is a player that always wants to win even if the Chilean does show it more than anyone.
