Luton Town manager Rob Edwards has revealed his admiration and love for on-loan Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Belgian international joined the Hatters for the season last summer, with Lokonga recently establishing himself as one of Luton’s best players and a key player for the newly promoted side.
With Lokonga now creating quite some buzz around his performances, talk has now turned to the 24-year-old potentially featuring for Arsenal once again next season.
Luton Town boss Rob Ewards lauds ‘brilliant’ Arsenal loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga

And speaking to Luton Today, manager Edwards has showered the former R.S.C. Anderlecht star with praise, with the Hatters boss seemingly obsessed with Lokonga.
Indeed, the Belgian could play a key role in Luton staying up this season, and Arsenal are surely pleased with what they have seen from Lokonga in recent weeks at Kenilworth Road.
Edwards said when asked about Lokonga: “I love him. He’s amazing. I think he’s a brilliant player. I told him as we were walking off the pitch after training, ‘god you’re some player, I love watching you play.’
“He’s great. He’s been great for us, a brilliant person. So hard working, really humble, really talented, very tactically aware, in the right place at the right time to control a game, takes the ball under pressure. He’s giving us a final pass as well now. He’s looking like, for me, a really complete midfield player.”
Arsenal have a big decision to make over £17m midfielder this summer

Signed for £17m back in 2021, Arsenal find themselves in an awkward position regarding Lokonga’s future, with the midfielder impressing greatly at Luton this season.
Of course, a natural option could be to sell the 24-year-old to the Hatters, who if they survive could be in a position to sign Lokonga on a permanent deal for a fee the Gunners would find acceptable.
However, another choice could be for Arsenal to give Lokonga one more chance, with the midfielder putting up numbers that could make the Belgian a viable option for Mikel Arteta next season.
