West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has now revealed a message from his agent following the Irons’ 2-0 win away to Arsenal in the Premier League during December.
The Hammers stunned the Gunners in the festive fixture with goals from Tomas Soucek (13’) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (55’). It also proved to be a catalyst behind Arsenal’s poor run of results. West Ham’s win at Emirates Stadium ignited their streak of three-straight defeats.
Arsenal fell to a 2-1 defeat at Fulham following West Ham’s win in north London before their 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Liverpool. The Gunners have further only won one of their last seven in all competitions since losing at Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s team won 1-0 back on December 9.

West Ham sparked Arsenal’s run of three consecutive defeats
Goals have also proven to be hard to come by for Arsenal since their defeat to West Ham. A sole strike from Bukayo Saka away to Fulham failed to prevent the Craven Cottage side’s win. Even though Arsenal attempted 13 shots in west London and fashioned 18 against Liverpool.
Per WhoScored, the Gunners even took a staggering 30 shots against the Irons. Saka also had a game-high nine and a match-high three of Arsenal’s eight on-target shots against West Ham. Gabriel Martinelli hit Arsenal’s most shots at Fulham with four, for one on target.

It was Kai Havertz’s turn to lead Mikel Arteta’s attack against Liverpool in the FA Cup and the shooting stats with six. Yet, despite boasting a game-high tally, the German only hit two on target. He was also the only Gunners star to make Alisson Becker make more than one save.
Antonio opens up on his agent’s message after beating Arsenal
Now, West Ham star Antonio has revealed that his agent messaged the striker following the Irons’ Premier League win at Arsenal. The 33-year-old has also admitted that he wants the Gunners to win the title this season. But Arteta’s side are now five points behind Liverpool.
“They played us and they just started losing games from there,” he said on the Footballer’s Football Podcast. “I swear to god, even my agent has called me and he said, ‘It’s always you. It’s always you guys. You did it to us last year and you’ve done it to us this year!’
“I didn’t even play this time, I wasn’t even involved. How can you blame me? I actually feel for him, I want them to win the league. I actually want them to win the league.”
