PSV Eindhoven manager Peter Bosz has claimed that Johan Bakayoko was completely in charge of the right wing against Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior last night.
The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw in our final Champions League group-stage game. It was always going to be a tough fixture, and Kiwior found it harder than most others on the pitch.

Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior struggled against PSV’s Johan Bakayoko
Arsenal signed Jakub Kiwior from Serie A side Spezia in January this year.
The 23-year-old Pole is a hugely talented player. He is solid on the ball, versatile at the back and has the aggressiveness to be a top-quality central defender.
However, Mikel Arteta has mostly used Kiwior at left-back this season, and he tends to struggle there when he comes up against tricky wingers.
That happened last night against PSV, when Johan Bakayoko had a fantastic game for the hosts on the right flank. He gave Kiwior all sorts of problems, and his manager, Peter Bosz, believes he completely dominated that area of the pitch against the Arsenal left-back.
Bosz told FC Update: “Johan is only 20 years old. It is always wonderful to see what kind of face he walks off the field with.
“I also thought he played really amazingly. If you saw the one-on-one actions with the left-back (Kiwior), he was clearly in charge. He just played a great game.”
Kiwior received a 5/10 in Arsenal Insider’s player ratings after the draw against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last night.

Arsenal should consider signing Johan Bakayoko
One of the biggest weaknesses in Arsenal’s squad right now is that we don’t have a like-for-like backup to Bukayo Saka on the right wing.
The Englishman is one of the best left-footed right-wingers in the world, and when he needs a break or is unavailable, we don’t have anybody who can play the role he does.
PSV’s Johan Bakayoko would be a fantastic option for Arsenal. He is quick, skillful, and even has more assists than Saka in all competitions this season.
Arsenal should be on the market for a new right-winger in one of the next two transfer windows, and we think Bakayoko would be a fantastic signing.
