Ray Parlour has hailed Martin Zubimendi’s ability to bounce back from his mistake against Manchester United to score in Arsenal’s win at Leeds.
Last weekend, Zubimendi gifted Bryan Mbuemo a goal, so it was great to see the Spaniard respond so quickly with a key goal in West Yorkshire.
The 26-year-old has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season, and the Arsenal legend has hailed his role in the midfield for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Parlour told Premier League Productions: “He’s done brilliantly, he really has. He’s been one of the signings of the summer, definitely, because he came in, he’s a very efficient player, and he made a bad mistake last week, but that won’t affect him, and he’ll be delighted that he’s on the scoresheet.

Martin Zubimendi’s underrated aerial ability
Zubimendi has developed an underrated ability in the air, with the midfielder scoring his second headed goal in the Premier League.
He is currently averaging 1.9 duels won in the air this season for Arsenal, which is so impressive given he is just five foot nine.
Arteta loves players who can demonstrate a threat aerially, and the Spanish international has certainly mastered that at Arsenal.
