Napoli star Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world at the moment.
The Nigerian helped the Partenopei win their first Serie A title in decades last year, and he is on the wish list of some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Osimhen in the summer, but the Gunners now face competition from Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
Football Transfers claim this week that senior figures at the Santiago Bernabeu are now against signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Instead, they’ve turned their attention to Osimhen, with a source telling the outlet that ‘the more mature and wise people at Madrid’ think the Napoli striker is a better fit.
Real Madrid staff also apparently believe Osimhen is similar in style to club icon Karim Benzema, who helped them win five Champions League titles and won a Ballon d’Or himself before leaving last year.
Arsenal should go all out for Osimhen
Among all the strikers linked with a move to Arsenal, we think Victor Osimhen is the absolute best.
The Nigerian has everything in his game. He can hold the ball up as well as run in behind, can score a wide variety of goals, and is an absolute nightmare to defend against.
If Real Madrid really are serious about signing Osimhen, it will be very difficult for any other club to get him, but Arsenal should not give up.
We hope Edu and Mikel Arteta go all out to sign the Napoli man. We’re convinced he will lead us to big trophies in the coming years if we manage to get him.
