A former Arsenal loanee has sent a personal message to Mikel Arteta following the club’s Premier League title win.

Dani Ceballos spent two loan spells at the Emirates between 2019 and 2021, working under Arteta during quite a formative period for both the player and the club.

Posting on X, the Real Madrid midfielder was warm and personal in his congratulations.

“Congratulations to Arsenal, the players and the fans for winning the league title. Especially to Mikel Arteta,” he wrote.

“You always believed in the club and worked harder than anyone to achieve this. You deserve it, boss.

“Congratulations, family,” tagging Arsenal’s official account.

Much like Granit Xhaka’s congratulatory message, the choice of words says everything about the impact the manager has on those who work with him.

Ceballos singling him out like that shows Arteta clearly left a lasting impression on the 20-year-old.

Ceballos joins a growing list of former players to have acknowledged Arsenal’s achievement, with Mesut Ozil among those who have sent their congratulations in the hours since the title was confirmed.
