Real Madrid star says Arsenal have two ‘amazing’ players who are among the top three in the world

Arsenal are now competing with the best teams in Europe, and they are gaining recognition from some of the world’s top players.

Mikel Arteta has built a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title, and Arsenal will also hope to go far in the Champions League.

Several Arsenal stars were nominated for the Ballon d’Or, including captain Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, and there is supreme talent across the pitch.

Two players have been particularly good recently, and are making waves across the footballing world with their performances, and the pair are up there with the best players in their positions.

Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger certainly thinks so, and the German International has now heaped huge praise on two of Arsenal’s finest players.

Antonio Rudiger praises Arsenal stars William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes

Speaking on The Inside Scoop Podcast, Rudiger highlighted Arsenal centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes when asked to name defenders who had impressed him.

” Saliba. I like Gabriel from Arsenal as well,” he stated.

“If you see Arsenal, like the two centre-backs are playing together, they’ve been doing it for two years now. They’re doing an amazing job, like the transformation from Arsenal, like that was a bit before and now it’s like those two are the pillars of it.

“You have Gabriel, the more aggressive leader, and Saliba is like this brother plays so clean! He looks like a silent leader.”

Rudiger was then asked to name his top three centre-backs in world football right now, and the former Chelsea star named the Arsenal pair alongside Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.

“I would go Saliba. William Saliba and Virgil van Dijk, and he’s really pushing, he’s really pushing – I like Gabriel from Arsenal as well,” he added.

Saliba and Gabriel have certainly been an outstanding partnership, with both rock solid at the back and solid on set pieces, and even the two-time Champions League winner is convinced there is no better pairing in world football.
