Football.London claim that Alexandre Lacazette had a heated argument with Arsenal manager Unai Emery during the game against Southampton.
The Gunners succumbed to a draw yet again on Saturday which extended their winless run to six games. Unai Emery is under serious pressure and if the same continues he could well be out in the coming days.
The report reveals that Lacazette was involved in an enraging argument with Emery early in the second half. The incident took place during a stoppage and it doesn’t look good especially after Xhaka’s actions a few weeks ago.
Lacazette’s brace secured us a point in a game that we deserved to lose. Southampton, arguably the worst side in the league, had 21 shots against us and were unlucky to not win.
The report also reveals that Kieran Tierney gestured Emery to calm down while he was shouting on the touchline. Lacazette’s lack of celebration after his game-saving goal in the final minute could have been due to what happened earlier. This just adds to the problems on the field and shows that Emery is slowly losing his dressing room.
It is hard to argue at this point that Emery’s time at Arsenal is close to an end. Six games without a win is a shocking return for a club of Arsenal’s stature and an immediate change seems necessary at this point.
