Liverpool host Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday and Mohamed Salah could be a doubt for the game in what would be a huge boost for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s side are currently eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. The title is in our hands, but our run-in is considerably more difficult than that of Pep Guardiola’s side.

Our first big test is against Liverpool this weekend, and Salah appears to be a doubt.

Mohamed Salah not spotted in Liverpool training ahead of Arsenal clash

Liverpool were busy at work at their AXA training centre in Kirby today as Jurgen Klopp put his side through their paces to get them ready for the big game against Arsenal on Sunday.

Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz, all of whom missed the game against Chelsea on Tuesday, were spotted back in training, but Salah was nowhere to be seen, according to London World.

The Egyptian started the game against the Blues on the bench this week. He came on for the final 25 minutes and didn’t look like he was injured or was struggling with anything else.

However, the fact that he wasn’t seen in training today suggests that something may be wrong, and he could be a doubt for the game against Arsenal on Sunday.

The Insider’s View:

A real myth on social media this season has been that Mo Salah has had a poor season. The Egyptian may not have been at his absolute best, but he’s still having an incredible campaign.

Salah has scored 23 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions so far.

That is an outrageous return, and if he misses the game against Arsenal this weekend, it has to be viewed as a big boost for us.

Whether Salah plays or not, however, Arsenal must find a way to beat Liverpool on Sunday.
