Report: What sources are now saying about William Saliba’s future as Arsenal eye Ben White

Football London have revealed some bad news to Arsenal fans about the future of William Saliba.

The young Frenchman joined us as a teenager back in 2019, but was quickly sent back to Saint-Etienne on loan. He returned before the start of last season and Arsenal fans were certain that he would play a big part.

However, Arteta wasn’t at all convinced that Saliba was ready to play regularly in the Premier League. The youngster wasn’t given a single opportunity in the first half of last season, and he was then shipped out on loan to Nice in January.

Saliba enjoyed immense success in the Ligue 1. He was arguably Nice’s best player since the turn of the year, and Arsenal fans were blown away by some of his performances.

Multiple reports claimed that Saliba will be given a chance to play, but it looks like Arteta has other ideas.

Arsenal could sell William Saliba this summer

Football London claim that multiple sources have informed them that Arsenal could push Saliba out of the door permanently.

The report reveals that Arteta is reluctant to use him because of his young age and lack of experience. That is why the Arsenal boss is considering other options, and Brighton star Ben White is said to be on top of his wish list.

Arsenal fans have been really confused with our links to White. Yes, the Englishman is a fantastic player who will surely improve our defence, but do we really need him when we already have one of the brightest defensive prospects in Europe?
