Arsenal have a bit of work to do in their attack in this summer’s transfer window.
A new attacking midfielder could be needed if Martin Odegaard is sold, while a left-winger is a necessity with the futures of both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard up in the air.
Several wide players have been linked with a move to the Gunners, and one of them is Marcus Rashford of Manchester United.
Now, Rio Ferdinand has had his say on the attacker’s partnership with an Arsenal player while playing for England.

Rio Ferdinand says a Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford partnership is ‘scary’
Marcus Rashford is expected to be on the market this summer after Barcelona refused to trigger their option to buy him permanently.
The England international’s heart is still set on a move to the Camp Nou, but there is no guarantee that will happen before the window shuts.
That brings other clubs into the equation, but the focus, for now, is on England and their upcoming games at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In the first two fixtures, both Rashford and Saka came on as substitutes, and Ferdinand was amazed by the two players.

Seeing them in action, the Manchester United legend felt they would form a ‘scary’ partnership if they played together.
He said on his podcast: “Rashford was the one I thought who came on and was the best player when he came on. He scored, obviously. Like, if he and Saka were good, I thought, in tandem when they came on, that is scary.
“And I thought he would have just used that again because it worked so well. Rashford got 10 minutes, 12 minutes the rest of the time, I think.”

What’s the first thing you would say if Arsenal and Manchester United swapped Gabriel Martinelli and Marcus Rashford?
Should Arsenal sign Marcus Rashford?
On his day, Rashford is an ‘unbelievable‘ player.
The England international has all the attributes you would want in an attacker. He is rapid, a good dribbler, can play anywhere across the front three and can be prolific with goals and assists.
However, the big problem Rashford has always had is consistency, and that will put off a lot of clubs this summer.
That should be the case with Arsenal as well. As good as Rashford is, his form can be very unreliable, and that is not what the Gunners need right now.
