Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho Gaucho has predicted that Arsenal will finish in the top four in the Premier League this season.

The Gunners haven’t been in the Champions League since the 2016/17 campaign. We got ever so close to getting back into Europe’s elite club competition last season but failed in the end after defeats to Tottenham and Newcastle.

Mikel Arteta and Edu seem to have got their recruitment right this summer, and Ronaldinho believes we’ll get back into the top-four and potentially even challenge for the Premier League title this term.

After describing Gabriel Jesus as ‘one of the best strikers in Europe‘, Ronaldinho confidently claimed that Arsenal will qualify for the Champions League at the end of this season.

He told The Mirror: “Arsenal will get back into the top four this season with the signings they have made.

“Maybe they can even achieve more and challenge for the title.

“Manchester City look very strong and they will be favourites – but in football anything is possible.”

It has been a long time since Arsenal were in the Champions League and that really hurts. The dream was dangled in front of us last season, but we threw it away in the end.

However, we must say that the Gunners look a lot stronger now compared to last year. Jesus really is a fantastic signing, while the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira are excellent additions as well.

A top-four finish is definitely the objective this season, but if Ronaldinho wants to include us in the conversation for the Premier League title as well, we’re not going to stop him.
