Roy Keane has risked facing the wrath of Arsenal fans with his latest controversial opinion.

The Manchester United legend is never shy to speak his mind, and most of his claims about a player or a team are usually negative.

Keane has had a go at Arsenal on several occasions in the past, and he is now at it again with a comment that we think makes no sense at all.

Mikel Arteta is a hero to Arsenal fans.

The Spaniard took over a really poor side in 2019, and after a lot of hard work, he has turned them into one of the best teams in the world.

Arsenal supporters absolutely love Arteta, but there are some people who just seem to have a problem with almost everything he does.

Keane issued a sarcastic response to Arteta hiring pickpockets before this season, and he has now had another go at the 42-year-old.

After controversially claiming that Declan Rice deserved his red card against Brighton and Hove Albion, Keane adamantly claimed that Arteta deserves to be sent off every week too.

That’s because the pundit has spotted the Arsenal manager step out of the technical area on multiple occasions, and he seems to have a big issue with it.

“The manager, Arteta, he should be sent off every week,” Keane said while speaking to Ian Wright, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.

“He’s always outside his technical area.”

Lazy analysis about Arteta needs to stop

Criticising Arteta for every little thing he does is just lazy analysis and quite frankly, boring.

Yes, the Spaniard steps out of his technical area during games, but the amount of criticism that has led to is just ridiculous.

Arteta doesn’t step out to disrupt the game, he doesn’t do it to impact the rival dugout and he definitely doesn’t do it to force the opponents to make mistakes.

The Arsenal manager is just a passionate man who wears his heart on his sleeve and is desperate for his players to do well every single week.

If that deserves any sort of scrutiny, let alone punishment, the game is gone and we might as well have mannequins on the touchline instead of managers.
