Arsenal have several players thriving at Euro 2024, and even Manchester United legend Roy Keane has heaped praise on one of them.

William Saliba is now arguably France’s most important player, having forced himself into Didier Deschamps’ starting XI, and Declan Rice also shone for England in the quarter-final victory over Switzerland.

Bukayo Saka was the star of the show for England, with his stunning goal capping off an outstanding individual display, and the Arsenal winger has finally received the praise he deserves on a wider scale.

Keane has now admitted that Saka has the quality to start for any team in the world, including his former side.

Speaking on the Stick To Football Podcast, Keane defended Saka from recent criticism and highlighted why he is one of the best players in the world.

“Saka sets such high standards, Saka would get in probably every team in the world. When he’s on the top of his game, he’s entitled to a dip,” the former Man Utd midfielder stated.

“We talk about Bellingham and all this, Saka’s played a lot of football for a young kid, hasn’t he? To be the top man week-in week-out, it’s not easy when you’re an attacking player.”

Saka has the quality to start for any team in the world, and for the vast majority of them, he would be in his preferred position on the right wing.

He would start ahead of Antony or Amad Diallo for Man United, but with Mohamed Salah occupying the position for Liverpool, many may argue that Saka would not usurp the Egyptian.

However, Saka’s versatility would come into play here. He would be capable of starting as an inside midfielder alongside Salah on the right, or he could move to the left side in this hypothetical situation.

Saka is now operating at a world-class level, and any team in the world would be keen on adding his quality to their side. Mikel Arteta will not be worried though, as he is set to remain at his boyhood club for the foreseeable future, and will hope to win silverware for Arsenal and England.
