Silent Stan won’t sell
Major shareholder Stan Kroenke has insisted his shares are not for sale and never have been after receiving a £1b bid from Alisher Usmanov. Kroenke has insisted his company is a committed and long term investor in Arsenal Football Club and will remain so.
FA Cup crisis
We the FA Cup final just days away, Arsenal face a major selection headache. Laurent Koscielny is suspended, Gabriel faces a scam which should determine the outcome of his injury but Saturday looks extremely doubtful. Shkodran Mustafi is recovering from concussion and will be assessed this week. Kieran Gibbs has a thigh injury and may not be fit, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like missing out with his hamstring injury. Leaving the club with Nacho Monreal, Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Per Mertesacker, Mathieu Debuchy, and Carl Jenkinson. If players don’t come back fit then a switch to a back four may be forced on the team, which would be disappointing after recent results with a back three.
Still no news on whether Alexis Sanchez is fit enough to play the FA Cup final this weekend after he came off injured against Everton in the last game of the season.
Sanchez win Power Rankings
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has won the Sky Sports Power Ranking and ranked the forward number one after he scored 24 goals and 10 assists this season.
Talks with Onyekuru
Arsenal are in talks with Henry Onyekuru who topped the scoring charts in Belgium league this season. The Nigerian has a release clause of £6.8m with Arsenal is his supposedly favoured destination.
The forward has scored 20 goals this season despite playing out wide and has seen a number of European clubs on high alert.
Ox approach
According to reports, Liverpool have made an approach to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 23-year-old is ready to leave the club with just 12 months on his contract remaining and the club failing to land a Champions League spot on the last day of the season.
A deal of around £20m could land the talented player but Arsenal would be keen to keep the Englishman who has excelled in his new role of wing-back. Oxlade-Chamberlain would rather have a starting place in the centre of midfield.
