Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand are among the pundits who have sought to predict where Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal have strengthened their ranks considerably over the summer, bringing in some top players including Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres.

However, the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United have also made a number of big signings, so they will all fancy their chances of glory.

Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand both tip Arsenal to finish second

Gerrard and Ferdinand spoke to Goal.com and they were asked who they felt would finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.

Both agreed over Arsenal’s position, backing the Gunners to finish second in the table behind Liverpool.

Indeed, both also made the same pick over third and fourth place, naming Manchester City in third with Chelsea in fourth.

Alan Shearer went with the same teams in the same order – Liverpool top, Arsenal second, Man City third and Chelsea fourth.

Meanwhile, Theo Walcott backed Mikel Arteta’s side to finish third, while Jermain Defoe tipped Arsenal to finish fourth.
