Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is one of the greatest strikers of all time.

The Frenchman was a fine player at Monaco and Juventus, but it was under Arsene Wenger at Highbury that he became a global superstar.

Henry was absolutely sensational during his time at Arsenal and is still the club’s record goalscorer, even though he left the club nearly two decades ago.

But were there any other strikers who were better than Henry in his prime? One former Arsenal target thinks he was.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic suggests he was better than Thierry Henry in his prime

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was an elite striker for several years.

The Swede performed brilliantly in multiple countries and also did well in the Premier League during his time at Manchester United, even though he was past his peak.

Wenger considered signing Ibrahimovic before he was a household name and asked him to undergo a trial at Arsenal.

The striker brutally rejected Wenger’s offer, telling him that he doesn’t do trials.

Now, in a video on TNT Sports Brazil, Ibrahimovic was asked to stay quiet until a striker who was better than him in their prime was prompted.

When the interviewer said ‘prime Henry’, Ibrahimovic stayed quiet, suggesting that he was better than the Arsenal legend.

The Swedish icon only broke his silence when Ronaldo Nazario’s name was put in front of him.
